Socially, I hung around the guys that gambled, and we just hung in the TAB all day and we missed out on a lot of things such as parties and going out with our other friends.

Did I have a problem? Maybe. Did I care? No, why should I? I wasn’t hurting anyone. Yet.

Not affording, being able to afford lunch most days of the week.

Had small car loan which I couldn’t repay. It was only $30 a week and I struggled to pay that and I disregarded the early signs but I should have been aware of them, and more, and I’d ignored them.

I want to be a good role model for my kids and now I am and I want to tell my story to young men in particular, and as I said, just to keep them away from the harms of gambling
